I spoke with my Aunt Georgine (Dunlop) Miller today about Hannah Davis
Dunlop, her grandmother on her father's (Dunlop) side.
Georgine said that she was only 9 or 10 when her grandmother died in
1928, so she has only the most modest recollections. She said the Dunlop
family did not know a whole lot about the origins or relationships of her
family, except that her parents were both Welsh, and that she had a
brother named Davis from Carlisle, PA. This grand-uncle Davis was a tall,
      slender man.
Georgine said she and my father (Kenneth) used to travel from
Schuylkill Haven to Philadelphia several times a year in the company of
their parents who would go there to get special provisions for the Ehly's
Bakery that the Dunlop's ran with her grandparents (Ehly) on her mother's
      side.
Grandmother (Davis) Dunlop was a very quiet, dignified, unexcitable,
soft-spoken and kindly woman. When they went to visit she would spend the
whole day in the Kitchen cooking a big dinner for the family and guests.
She visited her brother's family in Schuylkill Haven only one time in
Georgine's recollection, and it was a very untimely visit. While there,
she fell down the staircase. She was rushed to the hospital in Pottsville,
but died on the operating table.
