Jeremiah Smith _
   ld 1797 May 31 B_5 P_538 20081107 GJB76.
Jeremiah got from death of his father, Jeremiah Smith. He, in turn,
purchased from Richard Smith 1752 May 4.
Wit: Constantine Smith, Abigail Smith. End: 1803/09/30 by Eli Budd. Both
grantors present. [Note that on the same day in 1803 other deeds were
presented to be recorded. 5:531 transferred half of this plot from
Jesse Smith to David Champion. 5:536 transferred the rest of the lot to
Hezekiah Steelman. A further recitation says that Richard Smith obtained
the land from the West Jersey Society on 1746/03/10. The Champion deed
said this was in 1467, but that is obviously in error.]
Grantor: Jeremiah and wife Naomi Smith of Great Egg Harbor
      Grantee: Jesse Smith.
      Transaction: #64 for 75 acres.
Description: White oak by Cape May road "half a mile from a place called
tarkill bridge."...pine on north side of small pond...along "oald Cape May
      road" several courses.
