      Obit: 1919 Jun 24 Mrs. Mary A. Sykes, 87 years old,
      widow of Thomas Sykes, formerly of this place, died Saturday at 9:15 pm
      at the home of her son, Thomas Sykes in Harrisburg.  Death was due to
      infirmities.  mrs. Sykes, while a resident of Stewartstown, was a
      prominent menber of the Methodist Episcopal church.  She has been a
      resident of Harrisburg for the past five years.  Her husband, Thomas Sykes
      was a widely known concrete contractor, and lived at one time in Glen Rock
      Mrs. Sykes is survived by three sons, Thomas M. Sykes, Harrisburg; Henry
      C. Sykes, this place, and William Sykes, Lock Haven; three daughters, Mrs.
      Fannie A. Dice, Sterling Run, Pa., Mrs. Mallie A. Lau, Renovo, and Annie
      C. Sykes, Philadelphia.

      1933 Feb 11 Obituary: Mrs Covy Buried Here - The body of Mrs. Anna Covy,
      wife of Roy Covy, who died on Wednesday, at her home in Philadelphia,
      after less tha week's illness, was brought here today, and laid to rest in
      the Stewartstown cemetery.  The funeral was held on Thursday afternoon at
      her home in Philadelphia, and the funeral cortege arrived here today,
      shortly before 12 o'clock noon.  Mrs. Covy, who was aged about 77 years,
      was a former resident of this place, being a daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
      Thomas Sykes, deceased.  Besides her husband, she leaves one brother,
      Henry C. Sykes, Hanover, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Lau, Philadelphia.

      Word has been received of the death and burial of Thomas M. Sykes,
      Harrisburg, at which place interment was made last Saturday.  The deceased
      was a former resident of this place, being a son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas
      Sykes, deceased, and a brother of Henry Sykes, who moved from this place
      to Hanover, last Spring.  He is survived by his wife and one daughter,
      Retta.  Mr. Sykes had resided in Harrisburg for a number of years and was
      a pension and patent attorney.

      Louis L. Sykes, of Wrightsville, R. D. No. 2, died at 2:15 o'clock,
      yesterday afternoon at the York hospital from a complication of diseases
      after a lingering illness.  He was admitted to the institution on Jan 29,
      last.  The deceased was a blacksmith by trade and aged 59 years and 10
      months.  The body was taken in charge by Shearer and Shindler, undertakers
      to be prepared for burial.  No arrangements have been made for the funeral

         Funeral services over the body of Alverta M. Sykes, who died last
      Sunday evening, were held yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the funeral
      parlor of Shearer and Shindler, North York.  Rev. W. M. Beattie, pastor
      of the Fifth United Brethern church officiaged.  Pall-bearers were: Ivan
      Spangler, Theodore Sweeney, Walter Hendricks, Charles S. Widman. Interment
      was made in Prospect Hill cemetery.  YCHS 3530.
      Obit: Alvert M. Sykes, widow of Lewis R. Sykes, died last evening at the
      home of her daughter and son-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Charles Witman, 731 East
      Chestnut street.  She was 60 years, 3 months and 6 days of age. The
      following children survive: Mrs. Charles Witman, 731 East Chestnut street;
      Mrs. David C. Reinecker, Gettysburg; Mrs. John Kustter, Baltimore, MD.;
      Arthur Sykes, California; Walter W. Sykes, Harrisburg.  She is also
      survived by her mother, Mrs. Calvin Good, Littlestown, Pa., and two
      brothers, Calvin Good, Hanover, and Kenneth Good, Gettysburg.  The body
      was removed to the morgue of Shearer & Shindler, 913 North Duke street.
      The funeral will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from
      Shearer & Shindler's parlog, North York.  The body can be viewed by
      relatives and friends on Tuesday evening.  Rev. W. M Beattle will
      officiate.  Interment will be made in Prospect Hill Cemetery. 1924/5/19

      Mrs. Fannie A. Oberlander, wife of Michael Lewis Oberlander, 1821 West
      Market street, died at 8:49 o'clock yesterday morning.  She was 26 years
      old. Surviving her are her husband, here parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard S.
      Spickler, and eight sisters, Mrs. Albert Wintermyer, Mrs. Albert Beaver,
      Mrs. Mervin Spahr, Mrs. Annie Sykes, the Misses Nellie, Florence, Grace
      and Gladys Spickler.  Three brothers also survive her.  They are Howard,
      Carson and Wilbur Spickler.  Services over the body will be conducted at
      the house Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock.  Rev. J. A. Chamberlain,
      pastor of Zion Evangelical church, will officiate.  Interment will be

      Obit: Reinecker Child dies near Cassels.  Cassells, 1930 Feb 13
      Virginia Louise, the infant daughter of David C. and Betty M. Sykes
      Reinecker, died at 5:40 o'clock this evening at the home of the parents
      near here. The child who was aged one year, six months and twelve days,
      succumbed to pneumonia following a week's illness.
         She was born in Manchester borough on August 1, 1928. Surviving are the
      parents and the following brothers and sisters: Marlin D., Charles W.,
      Marshall W., Clarence A., and Samuel D. at home; Albert W., Manchester,
      R. D. 1; Evelyn G., Lillian M., Lottie M., and Dorothy E. all at home.
         The body was removed to the funeral home of A. Ziegler's Sons, at
      Manchester, from where the funeral will be held Saturday.  Burial will
      be made in the Evergreen cemetery at Gettysburg.  Funeral arrangements
